Cell phone service in the CH Metro this morning!

According to some readers, the Columbia Heights Metro had have cell phone service for AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile starting this morning -- did anybody have any luck? If so, let me know in the comments which service you have! I'm looking forward to texting and checking mail and such.

The service is supposed to only be in the stations -- the tunnels will get service in 2012. The Post has a full list of stations that will be getting it.

  1. T-Mo at least showed full signal strength.

  2. Now all the people nervously fingering their phones while waiting for a train might actually be using them!

  3. Got great service on my iPhone with AT&T! Also had service at L'Enfant, Chinatown, and Pentagon City.

  4. I can't say that I am happy about that. Unless there is an emergency of course. Err, no one wants to hear your conversation!!

  5. am i the only one who doesn't like this idea? i dread having to listen to people on their cell phones while waiting for the train.
