Two new plays at Dance Loft on 14th start Aug 9: Pinter's Betrayal and DC premiere of Enron

This is neat: the 4615 Theatre Company is performing two plays starting August 9th at the Dance Loft on 14th, the D.C. area premiere of Enron, about the downfall of the namesake company. It was originally run in London to lots of awards, then opened on Broadway. The other play in Harold Pinter's Betrayal, a famous play by the master playwright. Here are the details, including performance schedule.

Pinter’s Betrayal and Prebble’s Enron explore shared themes on a private and national scale
4615 Theatre’s venue-hopping third season begins in the Art Deco-style theatre at the Dance Loft on 14, with the Summer Scandal Repertory; a pair of wildly different plays that explore mistruth, illusion and memory on a public and private level. The rep runs August 9-September 8.

ENRON - DC Area Premiere - By Lucy PrebbleDirected by Jordan Friend August 9-September 1, 2019
2hrs and 15 min, with one intermission
Witness the true rise and fall of America’s most infamous company in this blisteringly funny satire of modern greed. Featuring a cast of 13 playing over 60 roles Lucy Prebble’s epic dark comedy is an absurd crime saga of Shakesperean proportions, complete with poetic profanity, musical numbers, and even a few velociraptors.

By Harold Pinter
Directed by Stevie Zimmerman August 16-September 8, 2019

80 min, with no intermission
4615’s acclaimed resident director Stevie Zimmerman returns to helm Pinter’s masterpiece, in which an extramarital affair is told from all three sides, and in reverse. Beginning in 1977 and ending in 1968, BETRAYAL makes us question the very nature of love and honesty, constantly making us doubt what we’ve just seen.

Performed at the Dance Loft on 14
4618 14th St NW, Washington, DC

Tickets are $20, and $16.50 for patrons under 30. They can be purchased at

Please Note: The Dance Loft is up a flight of stairs, and not wheelchair accessible at this time.
