4th annual Columbia Heights Christmas tree lighting this Saturday

Just got a note for this fun event, the fourth annual Columbia Heights Christmas tree lighting at the Civic Plaza (the triangle at 14th/Kenyon/Park.)

Here's more from the organizers' Facebook page:
The holidays are upon us and Collaborate to Impact (CTI) is getting ready to deck the halls of Columbia Heights for the fourth annual Columbia Heights Tree Lighting Extravaganza! Every year CTI partners with neighborhood businesses, nonprofits and churches to host this spectacular night of holiday fun.

The lighting ceremony will be Saturday, December 6th at 6:30pm. Last year we had over 400 people attend the lighting. The tree is a wonderful way for residents from across the city (not just Columbia Heights!) to come together as a community during the holiday season and we'd love for you to join us.

Please contact Brianne Dornbush at for more info or to volunteer. Look forward to seeing you there!
