Cool new DC bike racks on Harvard

DC bike racks

The other day I was on Harvard, just east of 14th Street and saw these cool bike racks: they say "DC". Always nice to see more bike racks in the neighborhood, especially cool ones like this. There used to be a real lack of them.

I'm not sure how many people will need to park their bikes in this location, but hey, couldn't hurt.

I'm sure the Urban League that's right there paid for 'em....they're a nice addition next to the Bikeshare station.

Neat-o design. Appears they 'spell' DC. Tho, if they "say" DC, I will be uber-impressed. ;)

I've never looked at them from this angle, so I never noticed the DC. Thanks for pointing that out! Just thought they looked stupid until today.

You're welcome! And true, mh.

The city is actually putting up new bike racks throughout DC and apparently making an effort for them to have meaning to their location. For example, I work at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company and we were just asked to come up with a design for the new bike rack outside our building. The city official encouraged us to think outside the box.
