The Columbia Heights Community Marketplace, our neighbohood's farmers market-plus that's opening in June, needs your help -- they're looking for designs for their logo, which they'll put on t-shirts, sandwich boards, canvas bags, posters and the like. If you've got an idea, send it to chcommunitymarketplace@gmail.com by March 13th, and it must say Columbia Heights Community Marketplace on it.
Let's see what you've got!

not to be a killjoy, but more people should read, understand & pass along the AIGA's standards on spec work:

it might be cute & fun to have some Columbia Heights kids work on this...
the logo will get done for free, it will be done by those in the community & it's always good to get kids involved in the arts.
i mean none of this sarcastically.
this would be a very good candidate for www.crowdspring.com
