Should we rename the Metro station to Columbia Heights-Mt. Pleasant?

That's the question The 42 Bus blog is asking, and they have a poll on their site. Personally I'm ambivalent, as long as it still says Columbia Heights and not, say, Pleasant Plains. And they don't make it crazy long like U Street/Cardozo/African American Civil War Memorial.

Your thoughts?

  1. I think it is a good idea - as long as Columbia Heights is first.

  2. I don't like it. The U St. station is a monstrosity.

  3. I think it's a dumb idea (as all the ultra-extended Metro station names are).

  5. I am sure they'll want to add "DC USA" too.

  6. It would probably be good for the Mt. Pleasant restaurants, stores, farmer's market. And that's good for both neighborhoods.

  7. How bout just 'Target' or 'Best Buy'. If it's too long and the trip calculator asks for clarification, I'll be p'd the f off.

  8. NO. the station is in columbia heights. The rename to Woodly park was dumb. Now all you see are lost tourist looking for adams morgon as the step out of the escalator.
