Metro to release scheduling data soon

We win? Looks like WMATA has finally had a good idea and will release their scheduling data by March 23, according to DCist. Greater Greater Washington has the full story - it looks like anyone will be able to download it, and it's the same data that powers Metro's online Trip Planner software. Hopefully Google Transit will use it, and I bet other folks will build their own applications! The people have spoken?!
