Toy drive at MPD stations

MPD is having a holiday toy drive until the 23rd, with drop off boxes at their stations around the city. The ones in our area are the Third District station at 1620 V St NW and the 3rd District substation at 750 Park Road NW.

Here's more info, and a press release:
The Metropolitan Police Department and the National Law Enforcement Officer's Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) are partnering to bring underprivileged children toys this holiday season. Each district station will have a box at the station desk for the new, unwrapped, toys. The age range should be geared toward children 2-12 years of age. The toys will be collected until Dec 23.

  1. The bratz around here aren't getting one free toy from me. They're the future thugs that will torment me when they're older.

  2. OR maybe they can't afford toys, and playing with them will help them grow up to be well-adjusted kids.
