Beer and wine at Target!

Finally. I've been writing about this since April, and after many "next months" they finally got it. I noticed it on Saturday, they have a good selection of wine and a fair amount of beer. The wine didn't seem too pricey, but the beer was - $9 for Corona, for example. Still, nice to see. Maybe they'll drop prices.

And I didn't see the famous Target Wine Cube, but maybe I just missed it.

  1. Yeah, the beer prices were about 35% higher than other area beer-sellers. That's bizarre, you'd think they have enough scale and supply-chain advantages that they should be able to best bodegas on price.

  2. I've seen plenty of Wine Cubes, but only in the 1.5L size. I would prefer to try them at the 3L size; we'll see if they start selling those.

  3. I wasn't impressed with the beer and wine prices, either. Their selection sucks, so if they're not going to compete on price, I'm not sure why they bothered. Are that many people too lazy to make a second stop for beer and wine?

  4. Total ripoff by Target. It's just another attempt to suck more money out of local people. If Target drops its prices, trust me, it's only for a moment to try to drive out competition, & then the prices will go back up.
I don't know why normally liberal people love Target, other than it's not Walmart. These mega-stores stink; support your locally owned businesses.

  5. I love me some mega stores. I'm not sorry for trying to keep what littles I make. Bring on the the cheap goods!!!!
