We now have RSS

An astute reader emailed me a little while ago asking about RSS, so I just set up a feed - you can add it on the "Subscribe" section just below the blog map. Let me know if you have any issues with it, I'm no expert.

  1. For what it's worth, you've had an RSS feed for a while -- it's how I've been reading New Columbia Heights for the past, I don't know, couple of months.

But I'm glad to see you've got a button advertising it now. Thanks for the posts.

  2. booboo is right. Less than tech-savvy readers can learn a helpful lesson from this: look up in your address bar and notice the RSS button there (in all relatively new browsers). On most blogs, your browser will locate the RSS feed for you, even if it isn't displayed visually.

  3. yep, i think blogspot blogs give you an RSS feed by default. that's how i've been following your blog for months.

  4. I bet you never thought this post would garner so many comments.
Just de-lurking here for a sec to add that I also have been following your blog for a few months via google reader. As an intermittent blogger myself, I think it takes some of the pressure off knowing that people following you will automatically know when you've posted (so they're not having to check a stagnant blog day after day).

  5. yeah, my roommate said the same thing, doh. I guess now it's super easy to find.
