Sounds like a Latin style coffee and pastry place - the rest of the sign says "variety of bread and pastries from Latin America." There's also a Pan Lourdes in Mt. Rainier, MD, and it could be related to this place.

Not sure when it's going to be open - I'm checking with the owner of the Pan Lourdes website.

  1. Yep, I've seen that sign too. I hope they will sell more "regular" bread and/or pastries too - not too big a fan of all Central American baked goods, I'm afraid.

In any case, its great to see a new busines opening there - hopefully another sign of "North of Tivoli" revitalizing. Wish they would also spruce up the building that this is in - would look like a good opportunity for someone to reno it all a bit and put out as rentals.

  2. Yeah, I know what you mean, the ones I've had are dense and super sweet.

  3. I've had some great breads/ desserts at the latino bakery (wholesale) on 11th between lamont and park. French bread is fresh on fridays...
