Funny sign on 11th

I saw this last night around 11th and Otis Street NW, pretty funny. The top says "to the person" and the bottom has a box, and a big "Thanks!" that you can't see here. It would be even funnier if it works, though I'm sure that's not the idea.

Funny Sign! However I have to be a jerk and point out that 11th and Newton does not exist.

You're right. it was before Otis, so I assumed Newton

Hah, I love it. Gotta hand it to those resourceful CH residents when it comes to fighting crime.

maybe it's the same criminal mastermind that broke my bf's car window to steal the TomTom holder and charger. Who knew there was such a black market for electronic peripherals?

Maybe they are the same folks who got a jar of jam and a swiffer (Cleveland Park) or a package of diapers (near Union Station) from my car??

My car breaker-inner got only a pair of really, really strong prescription sunglasses. If he kept the lenses, he must either have been nearly blind to begin with or become a guy with a really big headache.

i hope they go back for the phone!

thats why you should just leave your car unlocked if there is nothing of value in it...sure beats paying to replace the window.

The signs bore no fruit, alas. After five days, somebody swiped both of them... along with the pen I'd taped up there (an insurance company pen, of course).

The people who broke into our car stuck something in the lock and pulled it out. They successfully got into the console between the seats and took a bag of change but were too dim to realize that there were a ton of other spots in the car that actually had goods in them but were hidden (thank goodness!). After throwing all of the menus and other stuff that was in the glove box and center console, they left. Our driveway is now finished and we park in it!
