Tourists?

This afternoon I saw some tourists at the Columbia Heights Metro. That's something new. They were unmistakable, mom and dad and two pre-teen kids, camera bags, confused looks on their faces, and white socks.

I wonder what they were doing up here? Just lost? Maybe taking another route to Adams Morgan? Or maybe they are big Methodists and wanted to visit the Bishop Francis Asbury statue at 16th and Mt. Pleasant Street? Who knows.

Why are you surprised. They are tourists who are looking for a Target I'm sure. And since Col Heights is very quickly becoming the new Fairfax, but is metro accessible, why wouldn't they go there? They probably don't know they are more likely to get shot there than Potomac Yards. God bless them.

I thought about that, but they were heading down Irving towards Adams Morgan

I've noticed the same thing a couple times recently. It threw me off for a second too.

Hilarious... a blogger so clueless about Columbia Heights (wow! did you notice Columbia Heights Coffee? it's only been here for, like, 4 years!!!) that s/he is practically a tourist him/herself calling out tourists... Oh the irony...

I knew it was there, just never been.

I've been stopped a few time recently near 16th and Harvard by tourists looking for the zoo. I suspect a concierge somewhere is telling them this is the closest stop.
